Try as we might to stay away from polarizing issues on our show, it seems you can’t talk about health and healthcare without touching on these controversial topics. The Keystone XL Pipeline is one of those issues. It could have a significant impact on the health of communities in […]
YES, we have officially declared summer vacation here at the Nurse Talk studio. But, we are not just eating potato salad, barbecued hamburgers, hot dogs and jello salad with banana’s in it. No, we are hard at work retooling our show, our website, and our figures. When our new shows return in September you will hear some great new features. Nurse Talk takes on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) – the good, the bad and the ugly…and yes, there is a between, too. There is so much information out there that is mythical at best and crazy in its worst form. With our expert panel and our healthcare partners, each week we will discuss issues related to the ACA. Oh, and for our listeners who may be hoping ‘Obamacare’ will go away…we’ll let you know if that happens too.
Also, health and fitness expert Joanie Greggains will join us for a series of interviews with well-known health and wellness practitioners, authors and cutting edge holistic leaders.
Humor is always in the equation and that won’t change, and our new website will have interactive features so that you can chat with our hosts as we live stream the show.
So while we are away at our picnic, please enjoy a Best Of. Be safe, be happy, be healthy and keep laughing!

On Thursday evening I was a wet blanket. I was mad because no one outside of the hospital other than my sister Kim seemed to remember my big PEG #15 day. I was mad because my big PEG day was marred by faulty port-o-cath. I […]

The Royal Baby and Dixon Has Two Moms… Well, Casey and Shayne are no different than the millions of others who were, well, mildly interested in the birth of the Royal Baby. It’s old news now, but Shayne couldn’t help but wonder how it feels […]
