Both Karen and Linda speak from personal and professional experience on this topic as they have both been victims of workplace assault. They are now on the front lines (supported by Massachusetts Nurses Association) fighting for legislation that will broaden the laws for those who assault nurses and other healthcare workers on the job. There is progress being made and the Governor of Massachusetts, Duval Patrick, just signed an Assault Protection law.
