Documentary “States Of Grace” is powerful!
Dr. Grace Dammann’s life was forever altered when a driver crashed head-on into her car on the Golden Gate Bridge. After a seven-week coma and numerous surgeries, Grace miraculously regained consciousness, with her cognitive abilities almost entirely intact, but her body left shattered and severely disabled. Directors Mark Lipman and Helen Cohen were granted unlimited access to Grace, her life partner and their adopted daughter allowing them to follow Grace as she struggles to reinvent herself and find meaning and purpose in her radically-altered post-accident life. Grace and her unusual support network must navigate a sea of personal and professional challenges, and she does it with – what else – grace.
