Nurses have a duty to protect their patients and sometimes it doesn’t look like you might think..
And joining us to talk about the ever present and growing need for nurses to be supported by labor unions are three nurse leaders from San Francisco’s California Pacific Medical Center.
The hospital is one of many facilities in Northern California that is owned by Sutter Health Corporation. It is also one of the only Sutter hospitals that has not been represented by the California Nurses Association. But, since July of 2013 Sutter RN’s Lea Ejanda, Amit Shaham, and Rowena San Agustin, have been part of an organizing committee (supported by California Nurses Association) that is leading the way to bring the union to CPMC.
P.S. they don’t teach you this in nursing school.
AND the RNRN, Registered Nurses Response Network, sends nurses to the Philippines. For more information about how you can help visit http://www.nationalnursesunited.org/blog/entry/update-on-rnrn-team-in-the-philippines/
Now you can sponsor Nurse Talk for as little as $75…
