Who Are They?
Pattie Lockard, Executive Producer
Pattie has been involved in theatre, music and creative producing since she was 4. That’s a stretch, but the dream was there at a very early age. Pattie is currently owner/producer of Harmax Productions located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Harmax produces Nurse Talk™, and a variety of other projects including live theatre, music and television.
Casey Hobbs, RN, Host and Co-Creator
Casey found her passion for nursing in her early twenties and has been at it since then. She served her time in hospitals, home-care nursing and hospice. From the floors of the hospitals to managing start up and existing health care organizations, Casey has always maintained that “laughter is the best medicine”. Her dream for Nurse Talk™ started while listening to two guys named Tom and Ray talk about cars on NPR.
Shayne Mason, RN, Co-Host
Shayne Mason spent the early part of his career as a full time touring musician, playing over 200 shows per year throughout the United States. He has over 13 years of experience working with the mentally ill in various capacities. Shayne is an RN, an Adult Psychiatric Nurse-Practitioner, and works in a psychiatric emergency clinic in downtown San Francisco. Shayne is also faculty at the School of Nursing and Health Professions at the University of San Francisco where he currently teaches Pharmacology and Psychiatric/Community Health Nursing. He is currently working towards his Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
Dan Grady, Co-Host
Dan is a hospice nurse, a dad, a musician and an all-around funny guy. He is a great addition to Nurse Talk and we think the reason he shows up early for the show is because he is hooked on Paradise Market “Paninis!” He loves them…he claims they make him relax and do his best work.
Maggie McDermott, RN, Co-Host
Where did she get that thick accent? Her home country, Ireland, of course. Maggie came to America at the young age of twenty-four and worked her way up and into the nursing profession. After thirty-three years of nursing and telling jokes on the job—she was kidnapped by Casey and put into the co-host chair for Nurse Talk™.
