Helping to Make the World a Nicer Place to Age, One Wish at a Time
Posted in: Blog, Non-Profit Heroes
Twilight Wish Foundation was founded in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 2003 by Cass Forkin, after her chance encounter with several elderly women in a diner. After noticing them counting their change to pay their diner bill, Forkin anonymously paid it for them. Their gratitude for her simple gesture inspired Forkin to found Twilight Wish Foundation, the first national wish granting organization dedicated to the needs of the elderly.
With your help, we can grant even more wishes and continue to make a difference in the lives of these seniors, many of whom struggle just to get by on fixed incomes. Click here to Donate Now.
Your donations will be used to grant wishes such as:
- Simple Needs Wish: Examples include clothing, appliances, mattresses, walkers, hearing aids and lift chairs.
- Celebrating a Life Wish: These are meaningful or nostalgic wishes granted for hospice patients, persons 90 years of age or older, or recipients with limited life expectancies. These wishes can be for family reunions, visits to a hometown, and any similar wish that brings joy to the recipient.
- Living Life to the Fullest Wish: Examples include riding on a motorcycle, flying in a jet, having a book published, attending a professional sports game, or meeting a celebrity.
